Purpose
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning an organizational chart change to the Fire Department which does not require an adjustment to the adopted FY 2020 Budget.
Background
This resolution requests the reorganization of the Franklin Fire Department to eliminate one (1) Deputy Chief of Administration and Emergency Management and replace it with one (1) Battalion Chief of Administrative Services. This reorganization will improve the management and improve efficiency of the Franklin Fire Department.
Financial Impact
There will be no financial impact in FY 2020 as a result of Resolution 2020-01. In fact, this reclassification will reduce the pay grade of the position.
