Purpose
The purpose of this resolution is to establish four (4) lists, one for each tier of work, for professional engineering and design services for water, wastewater, and water reclamation projects for the Water Management Department over the course of the next five (5) years.
Background
The City published on January 31, 2019 a Notice to Service Providers in the Williamson Herald for professional engineering and design services for water, wastewater, and water reclamation projects. In addition, solicitation documents were sent on or about the same date directly to thirteen (13) potential firms known or thought to be interested in this solicitation. Submittals from sixteen (16) service providers were publicly opened at the submittal opening held on March 7, 2019. A tabulation of the submittals received for this solicitation is attached.
As noted above, the Water Management Department intends to establish four (4) lists, one for each tier of work. The tiers of work may be described as follows:
1. Water/Wastewater/Reuse Water Network Design & Development Studies; Trenchless Technologies.
2. Pump Station Design & Evaluation; Wastewater Collection Basin Plans; Water/Wastewater/Reuse Collection Long Range Plans; Building Engineering.
3. Operational Studies; Hydraulic Modeling.
4. Wastewater Treatment Design; Regulatory Permitting.
