Background/Staff Comments
The applicant is seeking to rezone 43.97 acres of land from the Agricultural (AG) District to the Specific Development-Residential (SD-R 3.00) District. The subject property is within the Conservation Subdivision design concept described in Envision Franklin, and the development is proposing a mix of townhouse and single family residential units. A special consideration within Envision Franklin supports the inclusion of townhouses within the Northwest Quadrant of Mack Hatcher Parkway between Hillsboro Road and New Highway 96, west to the edges of the urban growth boundary. A development plan for the Fields at Reese Farm will also be presented for consideration by the Commission.
