Acknowledgment of COF Contract Number 2010-0045, Amendment 6 with Infor Public Sector, Inc. for the addition of software licenses for handheld inventory scanners, printers, and mobile devices.

Purpose
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the purchase of software licenses for the use of handheld scanners, printers, and mobile devices. This adds to our Infor Public Sector application, which is what the City uses for inventory management.
Background
In 2010, the City of Franklin purchase Hansen 8, which later became Infor Public Sector (IPS). IPS is used by the majority of all departments within the City. Part of the IPS application includes inventory management. Departments now have a need to expand on that module to allow for handheld scanning, making the departments and the City as a whole, more efficient in our inventory management.
Financial Impact
The total cost of these additional license is $22,533.75, which includes 9 handheld scanner license, 3 barcode printer license, and 5 field mobile device license.

This purchase was a sole source purchase which followed all purchasing guidelines, allowing the City Administration to sign on behalf of the Board.
