Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning an agreement with Civil Infrastructure and Associates for the replacement of water and sewer infrastructure on Gist Street.
Background
The sewer and water on Gist Street from Columbia Avenue to Adams Street is in need of replacement. The approximately 750 LF of 6-inch clay sewer line is crippled with roots and the approximately 900 LF of 6-inch cast in-place pipe will be upgraded to ductile iron pipe. We anticipate performing this work in-house once the design phase is complete.
Financial Impact
The contract amount of Forty-Two Thousand, Three Hundred and Forty Dollars and Zero Cents ($42,340.00) is accounted for in the sewer and water funds (431-89320-52219 and 421-89320-52109) due to other projects being delayed.
