Purpose

The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning minor organizational chart changes to the Parks Department.

 

Background

This resolution requests minor organizational changes to the Parks Department to provide for greater efficiency and improved management of park assets throughout the City. The changes include:

 

a.                     The elimination of one (1) Recreation Foreman and the addition of one (1) new Recreation Supervisor position; and

b.                     The elimination of one (1) Grounds & Landscaping Foreman position and the addition of one (1) new Grounds & Landscaping Supervisor position;

c.                     The elimination of six (6) Athletic Worker positions and the addition of two (2) new Turf Specialist II positions and four (4) Turf Specialist I positions;

 

Financial Impact

There will be minimal to no financial impact in FY 2020 as a result of Resolution 2020-10.
