Purpose

The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning a consultant agreement with Holliday׀Kenning Inc. to provide professional development training for the City’s employees.

 

Background

The City has identified a need for leadership development for our current and rising supervisors who aspire to grow within the organization. This professional and leadership development will allow our leaders/supervisors to evolve and grasp a new perspective on their role as a leader in the organization. Since the leadership training series developed in June 2019, we have experienced an increase in employee engagement and productivity. With this training series, we would like to promote a continuous learning and development environment for all City team members.

 

Holliday׀Kenning Inc. will provide an outlet for the development of our team. The goal is to continue delivering the highest quality customer service by applying best practices from a team of industry experts. Holliday׀Kenning Inc. will provide solutions to our City employees in the following areas, but not limited to: quality decision making, how to deal with difficult people, strengthening organizational accountability and promoting a culture of inclusion. 

 

Financial Impact

For up to twelve (12) sessions and human resources consulting over a one (1) year term, the agreement is for $24,000.
