Purpose
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the Change Order No. 1 to the Construction Contract (COF Contract No. 2019-0093) with Civil Constructors for the Henpeck Lane Sanitary Sewer Project For An Increase In Contract Time of 16 Days.
Background
The BOMA approved Resolution 2019-48 on May 14, 2019, which is the Resolution to award the construction contract for Henpeck Lane Sanitary Sewer Project to Civil Constructors. The Notice to Proceed was issued as June 3, 2019 with three hundred and ninety-five days to achieve final completion (July 2, 2020). Through no fault of the contractor there were unforeseen delays in revising the Corps of Engineers permit to allow tree removal along Five Mile Creek. There was also one day that is eligible for the time extension based on the amount of precipitation that exceeded 0.1 inches.
Financial Impact
There is no financial impact to the contract with this change order.
