body

Purpose

The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning Contract 2018-0105

Background

The Carothers Crossing East PUD Subdivision is required to widen Liberty Pike.  During the design phase of the roadway plans, Milcrofton Utility District planned to install a new 30” domestic water main in an existing easement that would be required to be relocated with the future widening of Liberty Pike.  Staff identified the need to shift the Milcrofton water main outside of the future Liberty Pike right-of-way.  In order to accommodate the Milcrofton infrastructure a portion of an existing public utility and drainage easement must be abandoned.  There are no drainage features or utilities in the existing easement.

Financial Impact

There is no financial impact to the City of Franklin.
