Purpose

The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning Resolution 2019-69, A Resolution Authorizing Condemnation for the Acquisition of Easements for the Shadow Green Sanitary Sewer Project.

 

Background

City staff and contractors have been unable to acquire necessary easements for the Shadow Green Sanitary Sewer Project. Therefore, the condemnation process should move forward. The address of this property is 104 Alpha Drive.

 

Financial Impact

The final cost for the condemnation process will be based on the appraised property value and all required legal fees. The acquisition costs associated with easements is included in the project budget.

Staff recommends approval of Resolution 2019-69. Approval of this Resolution will allow necessary infrastructure upgrades to proceed for this project.
