Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the inspection services provided by Liquid Engineering for the inspection and reporting of the Long Lane reservoir.
Background
The WMD is considering using this tank as reclaimed water storage as provided in the recommendations from the Reclaimed Water Master Plan report that the WMD is currently working through. The tank would provide reclaimed water storage during peak times when demand is highest on the south part of town where development need is the largest.
The WMD enlisted Liquid Engineering to perform the inspection so we could be sure the structural integrity of the tank, in addition to the appurtenances, were adequate to reuse for reclaimed water.
Financial Impact
The total contract amount is $1,145 since this was done in conjunction with the inspection of the other water tanks.
