body
Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning Professional Services Agreement with Hazen and Sawyer for the Raw Water Reservoir at the Water Treatment Plant.
Background
Due to the temperature fluctuations during both wet and dry weather, the raw water reservoir water quality varies. Because the membranes require specific water quality characteristics as flow enters the process, the WMD has asked Hazen and Sawyer to assist with providing sampling analysis and short-term recommendations on the chemicals and dosages that should be used in the raw water reservoir to meet the influent water criteria the membranes have been designed to treat.
Financial Impact
The Professional Services Agreement is for an amount not-to-exceed $15,000.
