body

Purpose

The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning Resolution 2019-47.

Background

City staff has identified the need for on-call engineering, surveying and traffic engineering agreements to move toward the most effective administration of City business.   Every 5 years, the City typically completes a qualifications-based process to select consultant firms to assist with on-call engineering, surveying and traffic engineering.  On occasion, the need arises to survey property, provide environmental engineering support, complete a small study, or to help with a variety of engineering projects throughout the City.  The purpose of these contracts is to have several on-call consultants to assist as needed.   These agreements shall expire 5 years from the date approved by the BOMA and will replace the current on-call contracts.

Financial Impact

The cost shall not exceed the amount approved within the Annual Department’s budgeted items.  Individual work orders shall be approved by the City Administrator.
