City of Franklin Contract 2019-0106, An Agreement with Barge Design to Provide Air Permitting Support for the Air Curtain Burner

body

Purpose

The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning COF Contract 2019-0106 with Barge Design for air permitting support for the installation of an air curtain burner.

Background

As a more efficient means to manage wood waste, the Sanitation and Environmental Services Department is in the process of purchasing and installing an air curtain burner. As part of the installation, the department will have to apply for an air permit but requires technical assistance to ensure the permit application is appropriately documented. Contract 2019-0106 with Barge Design provides for that technical assistance through the permitting process.

Financial Impact

The financial impact is $14,500 to be paid for through the SES fund.
