The City’s Use of Temporary Staffing Agency Industrial Staffing of Tennessee, COF Contract No. 2019-0061

body

Purpose

The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning a staffing agreement with Industrial Staffing of Tennessee to provide traditional temporary/contract staffing for the Sanitation and Environmental Services (SES) department and other departments, as needed.

Background

Industrial Staffing of Tennessee will provide the City with temporary staffing for industrial/skilled positions. The City has seen a significant decline in applicants for various positions within our SES department and would find it beneficial to hire on a temporary basis. Industrial Staffing of Tennessee offers an opportunity for us to provide temporary workers for those departments who show that they periodically have such needs.

Financial Impact

This contract for the use of temporary staffing will be billed at a rate of $15.50/hour for general labor positions.

Recommendation

rec

The agreement with Industrial Staffing of Tennessee was entered into by the City Administrator per authority granted by the BOMA.
