Purpose
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the service agreement between the City of Franklin and Tree Climbing Planet for facilitated tree climbing services as part of the Parks Department’s Arbor Day event. This agreement was approved and signed on 02/26/2019. The purpose of this memo is to inform the Board of Mayor and Aldermen of the signed agreement.
Background
The City of Franklin Parks Department is hosting an Arbor Day event on April 20, 2019. One of the activities available is a facilitated tree climb. This activity has been featured during last few years at this event, and it is well-liked and enjoyed by attendees. Tree Climbing Planet has been the vendor used each time this activity has been offered at the Arbor Day Event. The vendor will travel from California to Franklin, TN to provide the service from 10:00am-2:00pm at Pinkerton Park.
Financial Impact
The cost associated with this agreement is a $900.00 fee for one day facilitated tree climbing and $625.00 for travel and excess luggage fees. The total cost is $1525.00
