Purpose

The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the final change order to the Construction Contract (COF Contract No. 2015-0062) for the Water Treatment Plant Modifications Project.

 

Background

On August 25, 2015, the BOMA approved the construction contract with Judy Construction for the Water Treatment Plant Modifications Project.  The original project had a total budget of $14,018,000.00 and 730 calendar days to be substantially complete.  BOMA approved Change Order No. 1 on August 9, 2016 with a total decrease of $171,937.53 to the overall budget and an addition of 56 days to the contract.  Change Order No. 2 was approved by the BOMA with a decrease of $21,700.00 to the overall budget and an addition of 92 days to the contract.  On May 8, 2018 the BOMA approved Change Order No. 3 which added 48 calendar days to the contract. 

 

The Final Change Order details include the following:

 

1.                     Final reconciliation and balancing of all contract line item overruns and underruns

2.                     Time extension total of 181 days to the contract for a contract total of 911 calendar days.

 

Financial Impact

This final change order is a decrease of $79,790.00 to the original contract.
