Purpose
The purpose of this procurement is to lease two (2) motorcycles for twelve (12) months for the Police Department.
Background
The City has negotiated with Harley-Davidson of Cool Springs a twelve-month lease of two (2) Harley-Davidson motorcycles to be used by the Police Department’s Patrol Division for routine operations. The new motorcycles are intended to replace two of the City’s current fleet of four 2008 BMW motorcycles which are scheduled to be removed from service. (By a separate transaction, the City has placed an order to purchase a third Harley-Davidson motorcycle for the same purpose. The purchased motorcycle is to replace another 2008 BMW motorcycle. One of the 2008 BMW motorcycles is to be retained for the near future as a back-up unit.)
Financial Impact
The value of the lease is $2.00 per year ($1.00 per motorcycle) for the two motorcycles. The Police Department hopes to renew the lease at the same rate per year for the useful life of the units.

Pursuant to authority previously granted by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen, City Contract No. 2018-0192 with TNHD Partners, LLC, d/b/a Harley-Davidson of Cool Springs of Franklin, Tennessee in the total amount of $2.00 for the lease of two (2) motorcycles for twelve (12) months for the Police Department, has been executed and is attached.
