City of Franklin, Police Headquarters Aaon Fresh Air Make Up Systems Factory Service Agreement in an amount of $6,307.18. (COF Contract No. 2018-0174)

body

Purpose

The purpose of this memorandum is to inform the Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) that approval was given on behalf of the Board to enter into an agreement for a maintenance program on the Fresh Air Make Up System located at the COF Police Headquarters [$ 6,307.18]

Background

Over the past few years there has been difficulty with the Fresh Air Make Up Systems that supports the COF Police Headquarters. There two separate units that are located in the North and South Penthouse areas.  This past year we entered into an agreement with REA Service Inc., that specializes in maintaining the Aaon type systems.  These systems draw in fresh air from the exterior and conditions the air depending on the season for heat or cooling while working to remove excess humidity. Standard basic preventative maintenance items will be performed.  In the event of a problem, they guarantee a 4 hour on site response. These are important pieces of equipment that take care of the air of the facility for staff and others. This agreement is for a period of three (3) years.

Financial Impact

The project amounted to a total cost of $ 6,307.18 and will be funded through the facilities budget.
