Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning Amendment No. 5 to the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) Agreement 060118 (COF Contract No. 2011-0028) for the Hillsboro Road Improvements Project.
Background
The completion date of the Hillsboro Road at Claude Yates Drive Improvements Project was established as December 31, 2013 by Amendment No. 1 to the City’s contract with TDOT. Amendment No. 2 extended the contract completion date until October 31, 2016. Amendment No. 3 extended the contract completion date to October 31, 2017. Amendment No. 4 extended the TDOT Agreement completion date to March 31, 2018.
Amendment No. 5 is a proposed extension of the TDOT Agreement completion date to August 31, 2018. This amendment will allow the City and its contractor to complete the project, while still allowing the City to request remaining reimbursement and to perform proper project close-out. This agreement and subsequent amendments are between the TDOT and the City, and do not alter the contract between the City and the contractor.
Financial Impact
There is no additional financial impact for the City regarding this TDOT Contract completion date extension.
