Purpose
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning approval that was given on behalf of the Board to enter into a one-time contract with Drury Hotel, located at 1874 W McEwen Drive.
Background
Franklin Fire Department conducted a promotional assessment center at the Public Safety Center from 10/1-10/4/2017 for Lieutenant’s panel and 10/8-10/11/2017 for Captain’s panel. Assessors from various fire departments outside the City of Franklin travelled to Franklin. These assessors were accommodated at the Drury Hotel during the time they were in Franklin. City of Franklin was able to obtain a per room/per night rate of $121 with this contract.
Financial Impact
The total expenditure associated with these accommodations was $7502. This amount was absorbed within the approved Fire Department budget (general fund).
