Purpose
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning a Professional Services Agreement (COF Contract No. 2017-0276) with C&T Engineering and Inspection, LLC for the Goose Creek Inn Sanitary Sewer Extension Project.
Background
The owner of the Goose Creek Inn WWTP has been ordered by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) to abandon the deteriorated and inadequate treatment facility and connect to the City of Franklin’s wastewater collection system. The design for this gravity sanitary sewer line has been completed and the project has been bid. Civil Constructors is the low bidder and has been approved by the BOMA to start construction once the agreements with the effected property owners has been signed.
This contract is to provide construction observation services for the installation of the gravity sanitary sewer and the decommissioning of the existing Goose Creek Inn WWTP.
Financial Impact
The cost for services as negotiated with C&T Engineering and Inspection is $33,915.
