body
Purpose
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the Amendment No. 2 to the Professional Services Agreement for the Curd Branch and Watson Branch Interceptor Sewer Improvements Project (COF Contract No. 2014-0033) with Smith Seckman Reid in the Amount of $57,400.
Background
When construction of this interceptor sewer began, staff recognized the need for a full-time inspector to be assigned to this project due to project complexities and proximity to Watson Branch. Smith Seckman Reid (SSR) submitted a request to the original contract for an initial fee of $40,000. This fee has been exhausted due to the construction schedule required for large elements of the project. Based on the contractor’s current work schedule SSR is requesting a fee increase as related to resident project representative services.
Financial Impact
Increase to original contract in the amount of $57,400. This funding is available within the project budget.

Staff recommends approval of the Amendment No. 2 to the Professional Services Agreement for the Curd Branch and Watson Branch Interceptor Sewer Improvements Project (COF Contract No. 2014-0033) with Smith Seckman Reid in the Amount of $57,400.
