Consideration of Agreement (COF Contract No. 2017-0059) for the Transfer of Ownership Canine “Jager” to Officer Daniel Thornton.

Purpose

The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen BOMA concerning the retirement of canine, “Jager”

 

Background

 The City of Franklin has retired canine,”Jager” and will no longer use Canine “Jager” for law enforcement purposes. Canine handler/officer desires to have Canine “Jager” as a pet.

 

Financial Impact

The parties agree, effective as of the date of execution of the Agreement, that ownership of Canine “Jager” will be transferred to Owner at no cost. Owner agrees to accept ownership of Canine “Jager” “as is” and accepts full responsibility for any and all costs associated with the care and maintenance of Canine “Jager”.
