Background/Staff Comments
The City is proposing to annex 0.37 acres of existing roadway in the Franklin East Subdivision. This section of Ridgeway Drive connects the October Park Subdivision with Murfreesboro Road/Highway 96. This section of roadway will contain a sewer line connecting the October Park Subdivision with the main wastewater line in Highway 96.
The area to be annexed is roadway/Right of Way only at this point. Current Tennessee State law prohibits the City from involuntarily annexing any of the homes in the Franklin East Subdivision without the property owner’s permission. This annexation request does not include any homes.
