Purpose
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the purchase of a new Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) fishing dock at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm
Background
In 2017, Leadership Franklin Class members approached the Parks Department with the idea of having an ADA fishing dock at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm. In conjunction with staff, Leadership Franklin helped plan and fund fifty percent of the project. This is the first phase of developing an ADA fishing area at the park with phase two including an ADA compliant walkway and parking area for the fishing pond.
Financial Impact
The total cost of the dock was $10,800.18.
Recommendation]
.Staff recommended the City Administrator sign on behalf of the Board of Mayor and Alderman the attached agreement. This memorandum is to inform the Board of Mayor and Alderman of the signed agreement and the dock was installed in late June, 2017.
