Purpose
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning an agreement with Boozer & Company, P.C.
Background
It is recommended that the City retain Boozer & Company, P.C, for expert appraisal advice as it relates to an Inverse Condemnation Claim for the property located at 1308 Lewisburg Pike, Franklin Tennessee, 37064 (Litigation for Phillips v. City of Franklin, Case No. 2016-470).
Financial Impact
There are two phases for this assignment. The total fee for both phases is $6,000.00. An additional charge of $350.00 per hour will be billed, should there be a need for additional services, but the amount will not exceed $25,000.00 under this agreement.
Recommendation
Staff recommends that the Board of Mayor and Aldermen acknowledge receiving this report of execution by the City Administrator, on behalf of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen, of an Expert Services Agreement (COF Contract No. 2017-0108) with Boozer & Company, P.C. Pursuant to authority previously granted by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen, COF Contract No. 2017-0108 has been executed by the City Administrator and is attached.
