Purpose

The purpose of this contract is to authorize the City to utilize National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance (NCPA) cooperative purchasing arrangement.

 

Background

Resolution No. 2009-50 authorizes the City to participate in cooperative purchasing arrangements for procurement purposes “deemed by the City Administrator to be potentially advantageous to the City so long as it is (they are) designed for use by public sector agencies including Tennessee municipalities such as the City of Franklin.”  NCPA has been so deemed and an agreement has now been executed and is attached.

 

Financial Impact

Staff anticipates using NCPA cooperative purchasing arrangement from time to time as the basis for pricing for the occasional purchase of sundry goods and services.

Staff recommends that the Board of Mayor and Aldermen acknowledge receipt of this report of execution of an agreement with National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance (NCPA) cooperative purchasing arrangement (City Contract No. 2017-0081).
