Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the status of some of the City’s stormwater projects.
Project Status
A. 100-Block Battle Avenue Drainage Improvements
Key Dates: Design Start - July 24, 2012 (BOMA Approved); Design Completion - February 2017*; Easement Acquisition Start - March 2017*; Easement Acquisition Completion - July 2017*; Bid Date - August 2017*; Construction Start - October 2017*; Construction Completion - February 2018*

Cost: Initial Study - $46,500.00; Final Design - $131,700.00 (Including Amendment 1 of $68,200.00); Construction Estimate- $1,270,000.00
Status Update: The Board approved Resolution 2016-94 on 01/10/2017, authorizing the project to move forward into the ROW Acquisition and Construction Phases. Construction plans are nearing completion. Title searches and appraisals for easement acquisition will begin in April.
B. Figuers Drive and 400-Block Battle Avenue Drainage Improvements
Key Dates: Design Start - November 26, 2013 (BOMA Approved); Design Completion for Preliminary Design- November 2014; Easement Acquisition Start - Scheduled for September 2017; Easement Acquisition Completion - January 2018; Bid Date - TBD; Construction Start - TBD; Construction Completion - TBD;
Cost: Initial Design - $82,000.00; Final Design - $154,700.00; Construction - $1,400,000 (engineering estimate)
Status Update: Water and sanitary sewer design contract amendments were recently approved by BOMA. Final design will began in February 2017. Currently working on water and sanitary sewer relocation plans.
C. Jordan Branch of Spencer Creek (Cool Springs East) Stream Restoration
Key Dates: Design Start - May 26, 2015 (BOMA Approved); Design Completion - April 2017*; ROW/Easement Acquisition - TBD; Construction - TBD

Cost: Design - $113,445.00;
Status Update: A public meeting was held on Thursday, March 16TH to present additional information to residents regarding the proposed access to the job site. The results of this meeting will be shared with the BOMA in the near future.
D. Ralston Creek (Liberty Hills) Stream Restoration
Key Dates: Feasibility Study Start - November 19, 2015 (BOMA Approved); Feasibility Study Completion - April 2017*; Design - TBD; ROW/Easement Acquisition - TBD; Construction - TBD
Cost: Design - $68,700.00
Status Update: Staff met with designer to discuss results of additional data collection. The designer is using this additional data to develop concepts for discussion.
E. Harpeth River Bank Stabilization at the Water Reclamation Facility
Key Dates: Design Start - August 11, 2015 (BOMA Approved); Design Completion - April 2017*; ROW/Easement - N/A; Construction - TBD

Status Update: Preliminary plans are complete, and the ARAP/USACE permitting process has begun. Force main relocation plans are complete.
