Acknowledgement of COF Contract No. 2016-0364 East Franklin Farmer’s Market at Liberty Park Lease Agreement

Purpose

The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the renewal of a one-year lease with James Gardner, d/b/a East Franklin Farmer’s Market at Liberty Park for 2017. 

 

Background

In July 2016, the Park Department entered a six-month lease with East Franklin Farmer’s Market to use a parking space in phase II of Liberty Park between the hours of 7:00am and 2:00pm each Saturday.  The market was successful and the department has agreed to lease the space for a 2017 calendar year.

 

Financial Impact

The lessee agrees to pay and shall be required to pay to the City during this agreement rent in the amount of fifty dollars for the entire 2017 year.

 The Parks Department recommended to the City Administrator to sign on behalf of the Board of Mayor and Alderman the attached lease agreement.  This memorandum is to inform the Board of Mayor and Alderman of the signed agreement on January 4, 2017.
