Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (
BOMA) concerning the Professional Services Agreement (COF Contract No. 2016-0248) with Norman
Hall & Associates for the Bobby Drive Water Line Improvements Appraisals.
Background
During the initial design of this project, the proposed location of the water line was to be either in Bobby Drive or in easements south of Bobby Drive outside of any pavement. Based on Williamson County’s requirement that the entire width of Bobby Drive be repaved and the cost of asphalt, City Staff decided to design the water line outside of the right-of-way of Bobby Drive and on the south side of the roadway. This would require appraisals for the 28 tracts involved in the water line improvement projects.
Financial Impact
Funding for this contract comes from the Water Operating Fund.
