Purpose
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning Blue Cross Blue Shield Administrative Services Agreement.
Background
This is the annual update to the City’s Administrative Services Agreement with Blue Cross Blue of Tennessee. The Administrative Services Agreement is our contract with Blue Cross Blue Shield and it identifies Blue Cross Blue Shield’s administrative responsibilities to the City of Franklin. It also lays out the City of Franklin’s fiduciary responsibility to Blue Cross Blue Shield as we are a self-funded plan up to our stop loss limit.
Financial Impact
No additional financial impact than what was budgeted in FY 2017.
