Consideration of a Professional Services Agreement (COF Contract No. 2016-0330) with Hethcoat & Davis Inc. for the Holiday Court Sewer Pump Station Replacement in the Not-to-Exceed Amount of $71,760 (12/15/16 CIC 4-0)

body

Purpose

The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen

(BOMA) concerning the Professional Services Agreement (COF Contract No. 2016-0330) for the

Holiday Court Sewer Pump Station Replacement Project.

Background

The existing pump station was installed in the 1960s and is in desperate need of an upgrade.  This upgrade will include a new wet well, valve vault, flow meter and emergency pump connection.  No building will be included as it is assumed that the station will remain as currently configured as a small, stand-alone pump station with external mounted control panel and telemetry equipment.  The existing 6” force main will be re-used rather than installing a new force main.

Financial Impact

The cost as negotiated with Hethcoat & Davis for the engineering services is a total amount not to exceed $71,760.  This project is to be funded from Sewer Operating Funds.

Recommendation

rec

Staff recommends approval of the PSA with Hethcoat & Davis (COF Contract No. 2016-0330) for an amount not to exceed $71,760.
