Report of Third Quarter 2016 Wastewater Collection System Maintenance and Inspection Activities Summary
body

Purpose
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning maintenance and inspection activities performed in the City's wastewater collection system.

Background
The table below presents the third quarter 2016 maintenance and inspection activities for the City of Franklin wastewater collection system. During the third quarter, City staff cleaned over 9.5 miles of sanitary sewer line and performed inspection of over 8.5 miles. Combined with the second quarter, this represents cleaning and/or inspection activities totaling 44.6 miles.

In January, the Water Management Department will present to the BOMA a more comprehensive annual report with respect to the Wastewater Section, to include plant operations, maintenance inspection activities, and other operations within the utility.

As the department has worked to expand transparency, several items have been posted to the department's web pages. These items include:

* Harpeth River Monitoring: this page provides links to various USGS gauges in the Harpeth River Watershed, including data from the City's monitoring efforts.
