body

Purpose

The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning an agreement that allows for data sharing between the City of Franklin and Mallory Valley Utility District.  .

Background

The City and MVUD are currently subject to a mutual non-exclusive license for the sharing of geographic information systems (“GIS”) data.  It is the intent of both parties to continue to provide a non-exclusive license agreement to each other to enable the parties, their employees, or contractors approved by the City (“Authorized Users”) to share GIS mapping information for the benefit of each party’s respective citizens/customers.

In order to provide effective communication between both parties, located within the City of Franklin, City staff has worked to create an agreement, which will allow the sharing of GIS data between both parties.  This is a three year agreement, which will benefit both parties and their abilities to service their customers.

Financial Impact

There is no financial impact with this agreement.  This is a no cost agreement between the two organizations.
