Consideration of Change Order No. 1 to the Annual On-Call Sanitary Sewer Cleaning and Inspection Contract (COF Contract No. 2014-0273) with First Response for a Time Extension Through June 30, 2017
body
Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen
(BOMA) concerning Change Order No. 1 to the Annual On-Call Sanitary Sewer Cleaning and Inspection
Contract (COF Contract No. 2014-02473) with First Response for a time extension through June 30,
2017.
Background
The Water Management Department utilizes the annual contract to provide services for televising larger diameter sanitary sewers and heavy cleaning of existing sanitary sewers in which the City has limited capabilities of handling.
On May 26, 2015, the BOMA approved Resolution 2015-18, which awarded the Annual On-Call Sanitary Sewer Cleaning and Inspection Contract (COF No. 2014-0273) to First Response. Because this is an annual contract with funding supplied from the Sewer Operating Budget, this contract must be extended on a yearly basis. Change Order No. 1 would extend the contract time until June 30, 2017, which is the end of the current fiscal year (FY) 2017.
Financial Impact
Funding for this contract comes from the Sewer Operating Fund.
