Purpose

The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the Program Year 2016-2017 CBDO Program funded by CBDG funds.

Background

This contract allocates $120,000 to Community Housing Partnership from the 2016-2017 CDBG allotment for CDBO.  CHP will use these funds to purchase, rehabilitate, and sell up to four (4) homes to low income homebuyers within the City of Franklin.  Optionally, CHP may purchase a lot and develop new housing should the opportunity become available.  Hard Bargain is also recommended to receive $60,000 from this program year’s allocation in a separate contract, for a total of $180,000 in that line item of the Annual Action Plan.
