Purpose
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the proposed Amendment 3 to the TDOT Funding Agreement 060118 (COF Contract No. 2011-0028) for the Hillsboro Road at Claude Yates Drive Improvements Project.
Background
The completion date of the Hillsboro Road at Claude Yates Drive Improvements Project was established by Amendment 1 to the City’s contract with TDOT as December 31, 2013. Amendment 2 extended the contract completion date until October 31, 2016.
This Amendment 3 is being proposed for an extension of the completion date to October 31, 2017. It is staff’s opinion that this project can be completed by the proposed completion date. The project is currently under construction.

Financial Impact
There is no additional financial impact for the City in regards to this Contract completion date extension.
Recommendation
Staff recommends approval of Amendment 3 to TDOT Agreement 060118; PIN 108490.00 (COF Contract No. 2011-0028) to extend the completion date from October 31, 2016, to October 31, 2017.
