Consideration Of Resolution 2016-60, A Resolution To Revise The Organizational Chart Within The Street Department. (09-27-16 WS)

body

Purpose

The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning revisions to the Street Department Organizational Chart to reflect the need to replace four (4) approved Part-Time Landscape Maintenance Workers to two (2) Full-Time Landscape Maintenance Workers.

Background

Attempts to recruit part-time Landscape Maintenance Workers has not produced ample applicants. We anticipate that offering full time employment opportunities will increase the interest and reduce turnover in a strong job market.

Financial Impact

The shift from four part-time Landscape Maintenance Worker positions to two full-time Landscape Maintenance Worker positions can be accommodated within the existing FY 2016-17 Street Department budget.
