title

Consideration of Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement (COF Contract No. 2015-0077) with Gresham Smith and Partners for the Old Carter’s Creek Pike Water System Improvements Project in the Not-to-Exceed Amount of $21,780 (08-25-16 CIC 4-0)

body

Purpose

The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement (PSA) (COF Contract No. 2015-0077) with Gresham Smith and Partners (GSP) for the Old Carter’s Creek Pike Water System Improvements Project.

Background

The original design for the Old Carter’s Creek Pike Water System Improvements Project included looping the proposed water line to the existing water line in Carter’s Creek Pike by following Hatcher Spring Creek.  This amendment will allow the consultant to finish the design of a proposed looped water system to Bradford Drive.

Financial Impact

The cost, as negotiated with GSP for the design services, is a total amount not-to-exceed $21,780.  Based on the work involved, the proposed cost appears to be appropriate.  This fee will be paid out of the Water fund.

Recommendation

rec

Staff recommends approval of Amendment No. 1 to the PSA (COF Contract No. 2015-0077) with GSP for an amount not-to-exceed $21,780.
