Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the status of some of the City's stormwater projects.
Project Status
A. 100-Block Battle Avenue Drainage Improvements
Key Dates: Design Start - July 24, 2012 (BOMA Approved); Design Completion - August 2016*; Easement Acquisition Start - September 2016*; Easement Acquisition Completion - February 2017*; Bid Date - April 2017*; Construction Start - June 2017*; Construction Completion - October 2017*

Cost: Initial Study - $46,500.00; Final Design - $131,700.00 (Including Amendment 1 of $68,200.00); Construction Estimate- $1,200,000.00
Status Update: The final design should be submitted to the City by the end of August. ROW Acquisition could begin in late summer 2016.
B. Figuers Drive and 400-Block Battle Avenue Drainage Improvements
Key Dates: Design Start - November 26, 2013 (BOMA Approved); Design Completion for Preliminary Design- November 2014; Easement Acquisition Start - TBD; Easement Acquisition Completion - TBD; Bid Date - TBD; Construction Start - TBD; Construction Completion - TBD;
Cost: Initial Design - $82,000.00; Final Design - $125,200.00; Construction - TBD (engineering estimate)
Status Update: Final design began in December 2015, and will continue through the summer of 2016. Water and sanitary sewer design contract amendments are currently in Law review. During design, existing water line and sanitary sewer line conflicts were discovered. These will be relocated to accommodate the proposed drainage improvements.
