Purpose

The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the development of the SORP, as a part of the Settlement Agreement with the Harpeth River Watershed Association.  The SORP is a document that compiles the protocols already being performed, in response to overflows, by the Water Management Department

Background

The SORP is a document that specifies response protocols for sanitary sewer overflows in the immediate, short term and long term time ranges to ensure adequate and consistent responses to overflows.  The Plan is also used to define public communication protocols in cases of emergency or large overflow events.
