Purpose

The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) with B. G. Jones and Company, LLC for appraisal services for the SR-96 East Sidewalk Project.

 

Background

In early 2015, a public meeting was held for this project. Comments were taken from the meeting, and the project was subsequently redesigned as a multi-use trail. At this time, the design is complete and staff is ready to start the property acquisition process.

 

We are requesting to have B. G. Jones and Company, LLC complete appraisals for the 30 properties along SR-96 East that are impacted by this project.

 

Financial Impact

The appraisals for these 30 properties will cost $90,000.00 ($3,000.00 per tract).  Funds to be paid out of the General Obligation Bonds.
