SUBJECT:
title
Acknowledge Purchase of Trakstar Employee Evaluation Software
body
Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the purchase of Trakstar.
Background
One of the goals for our City Team has been to identify, purchase and go live with a new employee evaluation process. New technology in tracking employee performance has come a long way. This technology will enable supervisors in every department throughout the City to track employee performance in real time, in a paperless environment. Supervisors are able to document employee performance and provide the employee with immediate feedback which will be documented and available at any time throughout any evaluation period.
The Human Resources Department has spent the last year identifying and testing a variety of systems and after careful consideration, recommends the purchase of Trakstar.
Financial Impact
A one year licensing agreement, which includes implementation/customization, manager training, and employee training will cost $24,545.00 which is below the already approved and budgeted amount of $30,000.
Recommendation
rec
Staff recommends and I have approved the purchase of Trakstar.
