Purpose

The purpose of this memo is to outline recommendations for the Friends of Healing 5K/10K.

 

Background

Pastoral Counseling Centers has requested an Event Permit for the Friends for Healing 5k/10k benefitting Pastoral Counseling Centers of Williamson County.  This is the second year for the event.   Estimated attendance is 300.  The race begins and ends at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church (West Main Street).

 

Recommendation

Staff recommends approval of the event application with the following recommendations:

 

                     Applicant will provide a $1,000 refundable damage deposit to City prior to event.

 

                     Applicant will provide a Good Neighbor letter which will be distributed to affected neighborhoods.

 

                     Risk Management:

o                     Applicant will provide certificate of insurance naming the City as additional insured.

 

                     Police Department:

o                     Applicant will hire required extra-duty Franklin Police Officers to provide street closures along the route.

o                     Applicant will meet with Police Department before event for final look at route.
