Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning a revised contract with the Tennessee Department of Health to provide matching funds for a grant.
Background
The Tennessee Department of Health has notified the local Health Department office of a grant opportunity. In order to accommodate the grant application, local funds need to be appropriated. The City of Franklin had previously budgeted the amount of $21,150 for the County Health Department as part of the Fiscal Year 2015-2016 operating budget. The Director of the County Health Department requested that part of the appropriation, totaling $1,516 be targeted as the local match for the newly available grant funding.
Contract 2015-0359 accomplishes that purpose by identifying $1,516 as Direct-Local funds.
Financial Impact
There is no financial impact. Previously budgeted funds are being reallocated.
