Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning trailer leases with XTRA for deployment of blue bins.
Background
The Sanitation and Environmental Services Department is working through the implementation of a curbside recycling blue bin program. The program requires the delivery of approximately 8,500 blue bins for the initial rollout of the program. The trailers provided necessary, secure staging locations for the blue bins throughout the City.
Financial Impact
The financial impact to the SES fund is $9,300 + $0.10 per mile.
Recommendation
Staff recommends acknowledgement of the contract.
