Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the status of some of the City's water and sewer projects.

Project Status
A. I65 widening/Goose Creek Interchange Utility Relocation
Key Dates: Design Start - September 11, 2012; Design Completion - October 25, 2012 (to be extended due to revisions by TDOT); Easement Acquisition Start - January 2013; Easement Acquisition Completion - March 2014; Bid Date: August 30, 2013; Construction Start - December 15, 2013; Construction Completion (revised) - October 2014 (for the utility work; not the roadway portion)
Cost: Design - $81,870.00; Easement - $52,340.00; Construction - $1,200,000.00 (estimate)
Funding Source: Design - Water and Sewer Operating Fund (to be reimbursed by TDOT); Construction - TDOT
Status Update: The contractor has completed all of the relocations for the water, reclaimed water and sanitary sewer lines.

B. 11th Avenue Improvements
Key Dates: Design Start - January 22, 2013; Design Completion - July 2013; Easement Acquisition Start - November 2013; Easement Acquisition Completion - January 2014; Bid Date: November 25, 2013; Construction Start - May 2014; Construction Completion - November 2014
Cost: Design - $47,232.00; Construction - $679,558.00
Funding Source: Design - Water and Sewer Operating; Construction - Water & Sewer Fund
Status Update: All work is complete (water, sewer, sidewalks and paving). There will be some of the sidewalks that will need to be replaced now that the paving is complete. Staff met with the contractor onsite on January 28, 2015 to discuss.
