*Consideration of a Professional Services Agreement (COF 2015-0381) with Smith Seckman Reid (SSR) for design services for the Ladd Park Interceptor Sewer Project for an amount not to exceed $176,600.00 (12/08/15 WS).
body
Purpose
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) for the consideration of the Professional Services Agreement (PSA) with SSR for design services for the Ladd Park Interceptor Sewer project.
Background
Ladd Park is currently served by gravity sewer that flows into a temporary pump station. This project will take this station out of service by installing approximately 7,000 linear feet of gravity sewer from the pump station offsite to the existing 24” Simmons Ridge Interceptor Sewer. Attached is a graphic showing the route of the proposed sanitary sewer improvements. SSR would provide design services for the proposed project. Attached is the professional service agreement for the design work.
Financial Impact
The cost as negotiated with SSR for the design services is a total amount not to exceed $176,600. Based on the amount of work involved, the proposed cost appears to be appropriate. All costs will be paid for out of the FY2015-2016 Sewer Operating Fund.
Recommendation
Approval of the proposed professional services agreement (PSA) with SSR (COF Contract No. 2015-0381) for an amount not to exceed $176,600 is recommended.
