Purpose
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning an agreement for the City of Franklin to receive 91X Express Bus Service and share in the cost of the service.
Background
The City of Franklin has provided dedicated support for the 91X Franklin Express bus service between Franklin and Nashville for several years. This project is a true demonstration of regional support and cooperation, as the City of Franklin, Williamson County, and Davidson County share the cost of this valuable service.
Attached is the proposed contract between the City of Franklin and the Regional Transportation Authority for FY2016. The service contract runs from July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016 and reflects the City’s local partner share of $29,707.00 for the 91X Franklin Express Regional Bus Service.
Financial Impact
The City’s local partner share of $29,707.00 was approved in the Fiscal Year 2015-2016 budget adopted on June 23, 2015
Recommendation
Approval of Contract 2015-0191 for the 91X Express Bus Service is recommended.
